The Three Kings are an anti corruption terrorist organization founded on (Grethion Homeworld).

The Three Kings organization was founded to combat the rampant corruption of the Grethion Triads and their complete control over Grethion Society and mostly made up of citizens who have lost face and are no longer welcome in society, idealistic youths and failed Xiongshou assassins.

The Three Kings[edit | edit source]

Their name derives from an ancient Grethion folk tale about a Grethion king who commissioned a couple of sword smiths to create twin swords, demanding that they be made in three months. The smith couple however, was unable to melt the metal in their forge, due to lack of life force in it. As such it took them three years to accumulate the required energy to melt the metal to make these swords, by adding parts of their own body such as hair, nails and blood. The husband, the male swordsmith kept the male sword, but gave to the king the female sword. The king, angry at the delay and at learning the swordsmith kept the male sword, ordered the blacksmith killed. The wife and female swordsmith however, knew where the male sword was hidden, she gave it to their son to avenge his father.

The king, having experienced premonitions that a youth was setting out to kill him, hired a Xiongshou assassin to kill the youth. As the assassin approached the youth with the lawful contract, the youth revealed to him the full story of the sacrifice his parents had made to make the swords, and how his father was murdered by the king. The Xiongshou was moved by this story, he told the youth to give him the sword, and that he will avenge his father. The youth agreed, committing suicide.

The assassin, after having cut off the youth's head and taken his sword, presented the head to the king, who was unnerved by the head, who kept staring at him no matter where he was. The assassin suggested boiling the head in a cauldron so that the flesh melt and he could no longer stare. The king agreed, but though the youth's head was placed in a boiling cauldron, the flesh would not melt. The assassin then suggested to the king that he must lean down and stare the head down, and force him to submit to the king's kingly life force. The king agreed and leaned over to stare down at the head, at which point the assassin used the sword to cut the king's head off, and then his own, with all three heads now in the boiling cauldron.

By the time the guards and advisors to the king were able to remove the heads from the cauldron, the flesh had melted off of all of them, and it was impossible to determine which head belonged to the king. As such, they decided to bury all of the heads as though they were kings, both to make sure the real king was buried, and to honor the loyalty and sacrifice of the youth and the assassin. Thus they were buried in one kingly tomb, known as "The Tomb of Three Kings".

The name was chosen as it best represents the three major groups of members in the organization:

  • The idealistic youths, represented by the swordsmith's son.
  • The former Xiongshou assassins, represented by the assassin.
  • The nobles who have lost their face, represented by the king.

Activities[edit | edit source]

The Three Kings first act was to assassinate a local governor and prominent member of the triads. Unfortunately, their plot was discovered by the Xiongshou, who had informed the governor. The governor had the Three Kings ambushed as they attempted the assassination, capturing or killing many of the members of the organization, with only a few being able to flee the scene and even fewer able to leave the planet.
