Calagon
Calagon is the capital planet of the Kingdom of Calagon and homeworld of the Argolyte. It is a dry, rocky planet located within the Fourth Ring of Galaxy One.
Calagon was formerly an oceanic world turned barren during a detrimental shift of solar gravitation. As a result nearly all of the water above the surface have evaporated, turning Calagon into an oxygen, sodium and potassium rich planet. The planet is largely composed of wide deserts which made up the ocean floor and canyons, gorges and bluffs, which were created by the constant flow of water during the evaporation. As a result a lot of the cliffs and bluffs have ground that is remarkably smooth and pearlescent, salt crystals on the surface are very common and there are great salt deserts throughout the planet. Aquatic life forms such as algae and corals have developed to exist on a barren land, some retaining luminous properties, decorating the planet's surface and often used as landmarks for travelling Argolytes.
Due to the oxygen rich environment, animal life is unusually large on Calagon, but much of it is underground or nocturnal. There are still some streams, ponds and even seas left on the surface, however these are so rich in salt that they are practically toxic, maintaining no life. The resulting landscape of corals, algae, salt crystals, deserts and various earth and sand stacked on itself from many eras of history lead to a visually remarkable terrain, though most alien looking to non Argolytes.
